give IT. get IT. profiled on NEWSCENTER Maine and ABC7/Fox 22 Bangor

We’re excited to share two recent news stories on how we turn unwanted business technology into new tools for people in need!

Caroline Lecour from NEWSCENTER Maine learned about us when she did a story about Girls Who Code, a national organization dedicated to encouraging and supporting the next generation of female software engineers and programmers. Caroline wanted to speak to every person involved in the process and asked thoughtful questions. The most amazing thing about today’s TV reporters is that they not only conduct all the interviews, they do all the filming and editing themselves.

The video above does a wonderful job of telling how Chris and Jodi came up with the idea for give IT. get IT., showing how we process technology from businesses all over New England and why we’re so passionate about connecting people in need with affordable computers, training and user support.

After seeing our story on NEWCENTER, David Ledford from ABC 7/Fox 22 Bangor reached out to us so he could share our story with his viewers. Just like Caroline, David did all the filming and editing and we were equally impressed with his attention to detail. David was interested in every facet of our operation and filmed our process and creative angles.

David also zoomed in on our e-commerce operation where we sell electronics to fund our program.

Stories like this are an outstanding way for us to connect with new recycling clients and supporters of our mission to help ANYONE who can’t afford the computer they need to achieve their education, career, or wellness goal.
