Public access to personal computers and high-speed Internet is essential across the Northeast U.S. For many people, libraries and nonprofit organizations are the only places they can reliably connect to the digital world—whether that’s applying for jobs, doing homework, managing healthcare, or staying in touch with family and friends.
These vital institutions provide the tools and training that bridge the digital divide. But keeping public access computers updated and secure is costly. With tight budgets and competing needs, many libraries and nonprofits struggle to afford the technology upgrades their communities rely on.
Microsoft has announced that Windows 10 will reach its end of support on October 14, 2025. That means millions of public access computers still running Windows 10 will no longer receive critical updates, leaving them vulnerable to security risks and unable to run newer applications.
For organizations that operate dozens—or even hundreds—of computers, replacing or upgrading to Windows 11 can feel overwhelming. The hardware requirements are higher, and purchasing brand-new systems at retail prices is often out of reach.
At give IT. get IT., we’ve made it our mission to ensure that no community loses access to the technology it needs. That’s why we’ve created a special Windows 11 Public Access Computer (wPAC) offering designed specifically to help libraries and nonprofits transition away from Windows 10 without breaking their budgets.
This program provides:
Affordable Windows 11 public access computers ready for library and nonprofit use
Reliable performance to support essential community needs like browsing, online learning, and office tools
Sustainable technology that extends the lifecycle of IT equipment through responsible recycling and refurbishment
We know how important it is for libraries and nonprofits to prepare now—before Windows 10 reaches its end of support. That’s why we’ve made it easy to learn more about our upgrade program.
